Welcome to the home of the Appalachian Heritage Quilters (AHQ), located in Johnson City, TN. We are dedicated to the perpetuation of this art form through the study of its history as an integral part of our past and through our commitment to our individual handcrafts as we learn and understand more about quilting. We are a group of nearly 100 women, bound together by our interest in quilting and our love of God. Our skills range from beginner to professional. Together, the group shares wonderful experiences and forms close friendships.

Our Mission:

The purpose of this organization is to preserve and promote the art of quilting through the improvement of skills with classes, seminars, and workshops, and to promote a Christian fellowship by exchanging ideas, patterns, and skills through meetings and newsletters.

Our Meetings:

Whether you are a long-term resident or new to the area, we invite you to attend our meetings which are currently being held at Crossroads Christian Church, 1300 Suncrest Drive, Gray, TN, on the 3rd Thursdays of each month (unless otherwise noted on our events page).  It will not take you long to get hooked into this circle of friends! Please visit our Appalachian Heritage Quilters Facebook page for more information.

We hope you enjoy the work of our hands!
